Our pool is evolving...slowly

After the recent heatwave, we really wished that our pool was complete. But, we are learning to be very patient. Hopefully, there are some mild days when it is ready so we can all jump in!

Most of the render has been done and then the tiler can get started. It is interesting to watch the stages on building a pool. It is not as simple as I thought it would be, but it will be worth the wait.

Sophie's award

On Monday, Sophie was awarded 'Aussie of the Week' from her teacher for her "great efforts when writing". She very proudly and confidently accepted her award in front of all the teachers, parents and students at assembly. Well done Soph!

Sophie's day off

Sophie has been enjoying her time at school so far. Today was her midweek day off and she enjoyed playing the 'Sophie Cinderella game' in the afternoon, which involves dressing up and accessorising for a 'ball' where she dances.

The pool has begun!

Excavation for our pool started today. The pool will be 12 m x 4 m with an 'endless edge' on one side. We are all very excited and will enjoy watching the building progress each day (especially Adam!).

Sophie's first day...

Today was Sophie's first day of prep. She has been counting down the days for a while now and the day finally arrived with much excitement. It is a surreal feeling to have THREE school aged children. We are very proud parents!

It helps when you are familiar with the walk up to the school

Getting settled in the classroom...so happy to be in a class with her best friend, Scarlett

The boys however, were not so excited about the new school year...they've quite enjoyed the relaxed nature of a six week summer break.

After we left Sophie in her classroom, Adam and I went to the 'Tears and Cheers' to meet other parents. I could relate to another mum of three when she said that she's on 'long service leave' now that her youngest has started school. After 11 years at home with child/ren, about time!

Mum and Steve's Wedding

On New Year's Eve, we went to mum and Steve's wedding. Mum was a glowing and beautiful bride. Sophie was an angelic little flower girl and James and Patrick looked handsome as they walked down the 'aisle' ahead of nanny. It was a great night with perfect weather and enjoyed by all.

Camp

James left for a three day school camp to Phillip Island today. He was awake early and keen to get going. James loves the great outdoors. I'm sure he will have a great time with his friends.

Car packed and ready to go. Sophie was our photographer for the morning
